Crafty Suzie Strikes Again

I found these light switch covers on Etsy. They're made using vintage wallpaper. After I got them I realized I could make them myself! I don't have any vintage wallpaper but I do have paper and fabric scraps, which both work great.

These are made with paper and are in the bathroom. I found some good instructions online. I got the Collage Pauge at JoAnn fabrics and it works great! Don't use paper that is too thick or has too much embossing or wrinkling.

Use fabrics that are woven and 100% cotton. Quilting fabrics worked well for me since they're nice and thin. Quilting fabrics aren't so dorky anymore! These are in the living room.

For the kitchen I choose a wrinkled green paper which was a challenge. I had to smooth out most of the wrinkles in the paper because otherwise it wouldn't stick well to the switch plate.

You can see the wrinkles here which look pretty cool in the end but in the future I would avoid wrinkled paper completely!

I will explain the slippers in another post on another day. For now, enjoy the light switch covers.
